Time 03:15
I been thinkin' bout how it don't stop, Time keeps on goin' - Whether you know it or not. And how one day I, Will grow old, The time that one, Would see their plans unfold. But what plans have I, To grow old with? And build into a home. Oh, we ain't runnin' out of time, But there ain't, No sense in wasting, The only thing that's mine. I been thinkin' bout how it's been rough. Never seems to be enough, For me. But then some days, I've got a smile on my face. 'Cause it ain't no race, Walking on the trace. And it's a long, long climb, Up Fools' Hill, And I'm glad I made it to the top, But I won't be doin' it again.

Nausea pt. 1 02:05
I saw my future today- Lying in the waters of Los Angeles Bay, and it's fil-fil-fil-fillin' up my lungs, I can't feel my feet and I can't feel my tongue. I saw my future today- Hangin' from a rope in Silverlake. T-t-t-tuggin' at my sleeve, Askin' me why I'm falling asleep. I saw my-- I saw my future today, Jumpin' off the Beaman in the middle of the day, and I think I broke my legs, Just give me an Aspirin, Don't make me beg. I saw my future today, and it was nothing. Go away. I'm no good. Go away. I'm no good. I saw my future today, Guts on a bumper down in Burbank, and he's rev-rev-revving up his car, Leaving me behind as an ugly skid mark. I saw my future today. Go away. I'm no good. Go away. I'm no good. There was never anything underneath it all. There was never anything underneath it all There was never anything underneath it all There was never any thing, At all. Stay away. I'm no good. Stay away. I'm no good. Stay away. I'm no good. Stay away. I'm no good.

Memory 02:57
You are a certain kind of sudden, Like a breeze in early spring. Tousle my hair and mutter, We'll pick the berries and we'll sing. But spring grows stale to summer, and leaves grow still together- All change the same with weather. And with Autumn feathers, Upon the ground, I'll wait for years. You are a certain kind of ancient, "All Greek to me," you'd say. I'll stand beside your sculpture, Watch the paint chip away. But color lies for purpose, Stands in and hides the surface. God help if they could see you, Shiver in your stony bedroom. Do you think the chisel will rest? Do you think the chisel will rest? You are a certain kind of sudden, Like the morning dew on grass. Evaporate the moisture, But tomorrow we'll be back. You are a certain kind of sudden- Synchronized high in flight up on the swings, If only for a little bit. Synchronized high in flight up on the swings, If only for a little bit. Shiver in your stony bedroom.

Desire 02:11
Desire is your name, More than any your mother gave. Separate yourself, By diving in the deep end. Where the water isn't, There you are. Without it, no 'I' for you to call your own. When you look at me my mirrored eyes reflect through what you're not. (Are you alone?) Desire. Desire. You are what you eat, and you eat what you kill. You are what you eat, and you eat what you kill. You've lived a whole life, Right inside your head. Why do they only see it, Sitting in your bed? (Are you alone again?) Do you see my hands? Bloodied by my labours. Do you see my likeness? Disfigured before the whole wide world. Desire. Desire.

I laughed, Though I was in no laughing mood. You crawled, into my lips and made them move. Climb on, climb on, Either way the train keeps running on. Climb on, climb on, Either way the train keeps running on. You bid me follow, But I confess that pain kept me bound, Right here on the cold, hard ground. (Purify)

Hemlock 02:20
Drinkin' hemlock with my friends, Cause I want it all to end, Maybe that should wait for the weekend? Sophomoric is exciting, Naiveté's delighting, But all of that should wait for the weekend. I've got to prove I'm as smart, As I'd like to pretend to be, So I'll keep drinking hemlock 'til the end. I'd better take it real serious (Folly) I'd better practice at death (Folly) If in this life, I want any respect. (Folly) No I'm not a good student. I'm a pretty lousy friend. But if scowl real serious, I can hide my folly. Pumpkin Men: You're just a boy, life is not a toy. Lorenzo: When you're just a boy, everything's a toy. Pumpkin: You're concerning all the upright folks. Lorenzo: What concern of theirs am I? Why can't they leave me alone? (I dunno, but I'm gettin' kind of worried) It's not my fault you're in such an awful hurry. Drinkin' hemlock with my friends, Cause we all like to pretend to be, Like him.

Nausea pt. 2 02:20
Anxiety It's choking me And holds me still It's hard to tell if anything's real At all Uh oh (uh oh) Anxiety Uh oh (uh oh) Have you taken care of your responsibilities? Anxiety It's choking me.

Uh-oh I don't Know these Roads I Guess I'll Just roll the windows down. I just feel this engine. Fat Cat Cadillac, Fat Cat Cadillac, Oh. Go on now.

Sarah 03:10
Sarah had the kind of face, That made people think that she was angry. Even if she'd had a lovely day. But what do people know, Of the going's on and the to and fro, And all the things, That make up Sarah's day? Sarah has the kind of laugh, That lights up a room, But she don't share it, But once every blue moon. Maybe the world ain't all that funny. Maybe we're beatin' on a dead, dead horse. Sarah has the kind of friends, That say "Life is a bitch". Which sounds more quaint, When you're just a little rich. But what do her friends all know about anyway? Except for taxes, Who's the enemy, And how to vote come next election. Sarah is getting sick of this town. She doesn't know where she is goin', But she's starting to look around. What the hell does she care for politics? All we need is a monarchy, with her the queen. Sarah still has her books, And that's all she needs- is just a little bit of time to read. Sarah still has her books, And that's all she needs.

(A whole bunch of mumbled nonsense that I don't really care to decode, so that's on you folks. But I assure you, none of it means anything at all. Blue curtains and such)

Frank 01:46
Frank knows that he's a mess, Failed out of school was never blessed With a bright mind or white smile, Always forgot where his keys were, But this morning he woke right up and said, "Today I'll make it better. I'll fix myself. I have to believe that, For my own good health." Frank failed to pay his mortgage, Living with his friend. He said, "It's just a minute, I'll be back on my feet soon. I got a check coming in, and when I do believe me man- I'll make it better. I'll fix myself. I have to believe that. For my own good health."

I'll be over here, Slipping through my years. Every month takes a couple years, Every year takes an hour or two- and now there are two, of the-- Same things again. Same things again. I'll be over here, Hiding in my fears. In my life there will be sadness, Isolation fear and pain. There will be chapters of laughter, Where I don't know my name. There will be BOREDOM. There will be BOREDOM. I'll be over here. I'll be over here.

Ophelia 00:59
Ophelia, Ophelia, I can't feel you anymore. And you're way on down the line, and I didn't catch my train on time. And you're leaving with the morning light. You're leaving with the morning light. You're goin' far, it might be hard, The world's this big ol' scary thing. But I'll be sitting by the phone, Trying to remember your face.

There's an old man, Sitting on the slits of my air-conditioning vent, Playing the harmonica and Keeping me awake. Old man would you strike up a deal, To leave me for the night? I'll buy a new harp for you, To play your blues, As much as you would please. I'll buy a new harp for you, To play your blues, As much as you would please... But please if you could stop for now, So I could go to sleep.

Nausea pt. 3 02:07
I saw my future today, Living in a house on down the way, Where the trees grow to be tall, So the leaves have room to fall. I saw my future today, Pretty, young girl but her hair went grey. The kids are all gone- Out in the thick of it all. Come on home, You'll be here soon. Year by year, 'Til afternoon. I saw my future today, Feet sitting cool on the riverbank. I feel all right, Even if I'm a little light. I saw my future today, Letting all my bad memories fade, Far away. Rest in peace, For soon you'll wake. And when you do, A day you'll face. Rest in peace, The light comes soon. You'll need your sleep, Come afternoon. I saw my future today, Sneaking into heaven by the back, back way. My funeral is quiet and small, And the kids don't understand at all. No the kids don't understand at all. No the kids don't understand at all.

Wild, Wild 02:18
Well the sun don't shine where my baby don't go. Got a pocket full of flowers and dirt on her toes. Two black sockets for her two brown bulbs, Cause she fought herself a rattlesnake and everybody knows-- She's a wild, wild thing, With a wild, wild past, Got a wild, wild future, And it's never gonna last. And the sun comes down, Cookin' your skin, leaving you feeling safe and sound. Well the sun don't shine where my baby don't go. Got a rigid diet of hot, hot coals. So she never lose the fire that push her on, So she never lose the fire that burns her soul-- She's a wild, wild thing, With a wild, wild past, Got a wild, wild future, And it's never gonna last. And the sun comes down, Cookin' your skin, leaving you feeling safe and sound. Oak tree hair. Magnolia bark eyes. And she five foot six, So she never, ever lies. She's a wild, wild thing, With a wild, wild past, Got a wild, wild future, And it's spring at last.
